Centro VIDA Children's Center is a bilingual (Spanish & English) toddler/preschool program providing subsidized and full-cost preschool care for 64 children ages 2 to 5 years old. VIDA, as we often and fondly refer to our program is our flagship program that was started in 1975. BAHIA provides a play-based curriculum that is age-appropriate and meets the developmental needs of children, and follows the Learning Foundations. Our classroom and teachers provide opportunities for children to learn through play and exploration in a warm, caring and bilingual learning environment.

Sol de Berkeley es el programa extraescolar de BAHIA para niƱos de 4,9 a 10 aƱos . Ofrecemos cuidado extraescolar durante el aƱo acadƩmico, cuidado a tiempo completo durante las vacaciones escolares y un programa de verano de jornada completa con actividades interesantes.
El espaƱol y el inglĆ©s se integran a la perfecciĆ³n en las actividades diarias, fomentando la comunicaciĆ³n bilingĆ¼e entre niƱos, maestros y tutores. Mediante el modelado lingĆ¼Ćstico inmersivo, creamos un entorno donde los niƱos experimentan el valor de ser bilingĆ¼es y desarrollan confianza como comunicadores espaƱol-inglĆ©s.

Through partnerships with the City of Berkeley, Berkeley Unified School District, Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley’s Public Service Center- BUILD tutors, Sol also offers mentorships, mental health support, individualized academic support helping school-age children reach or exceed grade-level proficiency in reading and math. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, enriching space where children grow academically, socially, and confidently in a supportive bilingual setting.
