Our ProgramsThe Bay Area Hispano Institute for Advancement, Inc. (BAHIA, Inc.) is a private, non-profit corporation that receives funding from the State Department of Education Child Development Division, City of Berkeley, Child Care Food Program and parent fees for services and foundation grants. BAHIA, Inc. operates three childcare centers in Berkeley: Centro VIDA, serving 64 children ages 2 to 5 years and Bahia School Age Program, serving 65 children ages 5 to 10 years and La Academia de Bahia an AM part-time bilingual care program for children ages 3-4 years old; our fourth program is in Fremont, CA, La Academia de Centro VIDA a bilingual Saturday pre-kindergarten readiness program for 40 children ages 3-5 years primarily funded through First Five of Alameda County. |
