Bay Area Hispano Institute for  Advancement, Inc. (BAHIA) operates four bilingual child development programs. Three programs, Centro VIDA, Bahia School Age Program, and La Academia de Bahia are located at two sites in Berkeley. The fourth program, La Academia de Centro VIDA (located in Fremont), is a parent education program and bilingual Saturday kindergarten readiness program for children ages 3 to 5.

Bay Area Hispano Institute for  Advancement, Inc. was established by and for Latino families in 1975 as a non profit organization to address an unmet need; high quality, bilingual learning environments where children grow to become successful lifelong learners.
