Admissions
Thank you for your interest in our  programs. As an organization we try our best to provide children with a diverse and rich environment where they can grow to become lifelong learners. Due to the popularity of our programs, we recommend interested families to sign up on our waiting list as early as possible. Although we cannot guarantee placement, signing up early will increase your chances for enrollment when your child qualifies by age.  We have two waiting lists for each of our Berkeley programs:  one list for subsidized families and one for full cost families and within those lists, children are grouped by birth years, September 1st being the cutoff date for any year.
Priority for enrollment is given to siblings of families already in our programs.
The enrollment process for children starting school in the fall begins in the spring for full cost families and at the beginning of the summer for subsidized families.

Fees

  • Subsidized fees depend on your income and family size. Please CLICK HERE to see an estimate of what your fee would be as a subsidized family.
  • For full cost families please click HERE for this year’s fees. (Fees are subject to change every year).
Please read the following instructions to know what steps to take to sign up for our waiting list. Centro VIDA

There are  two different lists:  one for subsidized families and another  for full cost families .

Subsidized families:
To be eligible for our full time program at Centro VIDA, subsidized families need to qualify in terms of income and need for care (student, working, homelessness, etc.). The cut-off dates for all birth years is  September 1st.   Children born on September 2nd will automatically be placed on the list for the following year.
Income: We follow the California Department of Education’s Child Care and Development Income Rankings to determine where a family falls on our list. Please click here to look over this chart and estimate your family’s ranking.
Need:
The California Department of Education considers the following as need:

We do not ask for proof of income until time of enrollment. Families are placed on our list according to their ranking number, not by when they placed their child’s name on our list.

There is no fee for subsidized families to sign up for our waiting list but we do ask that   all information be current and updated whenever there are any changes.

If you would like to put your child on our waiting list, please fill out our interest form HERE and a member of our staff will contact you with further information.
